Join Our Retail Team!
There’s more to COOK than food: our shops play active roles in the communities they serve, thanks to the warmth, knowledge, and care of our Retail Team. We’re looking for remarkable people to join us who can host customers in the shop just like they would at home.
The Role
1. Offer remarkable service, prioritizing the customer above all else.
2. Use your knowledge to help customers plan menus or advise on catering for occasions. Talk to customers about upcoming offers, products, and promotions.
3. Maintain the shop's appearance: ensure it looks immaculate, clean, and spotless; stock is replenished and rotated; freezers are full.
4. Operate the till efficiently and accurately.
5. Understand shop paperwork, legal checks, and their purposes.
6. Open and close the shop, including cashing up.
7. Check deliveries, place orders, and assist with stock-taking as required.
8. Maintain a professional appearance with apron and name badge at all times.
Good to Have
If you are a foodie, that’s a bonus—but we will train you to know our products, including how and where they are made, and to understand suitable dishes for various occasions.
Experience is not necessary; however, previous experience in retail or a customer-facing role would be an advantage.
