Robert Half has partnered with a professional services business to recruit for a Credit Controller.
Our client is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to take ownership of a varied debtor portfolio and play a key role in improving cashflow performance. This position sits within a collaborative finance function and offers the chance to build relationships across the business while driving consistent credit control standards.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage your own portfolio of debt, including regular discussions and review meetings with internal stakeholders.
* Resolve queries efficiently, escalating issues when required.
* Apply credit control and debt provisioning policies consistently across all accounts.
* Maintain an accurate debtor ledger, ensuring minimal adjustments and prompt management of unallocated cash.
* Proactively pursue overdue balances and keep senior managers updated on progress.
* Log all client interactions and updates clearly within internal systems
* Produce routine reports on aged debt and portfolio performance.
* Flag accounts requiring escalation, including those that may need to follow a legal recovery route.
Skills & Experience Required
* Experience within a professional services or similar stakeholder‑focused environment.
* Solid Excel capability.
* Confident communicator, able to engage with senior stakeholders and explain financial information clearly.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and handle sensitive conversations professionally.
* Proactive approach to problem‑solving and service delivery.
* Comfortable managing personal workload while working closely with the wider team.
