About the role
We are seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this fast-paced retail environment, no two days are the same.
You will play a vital role in daily store operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store's appearance.
Since the customer is central to everything we do, you will constantly seek ways to enhance service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
With your guidance, our store will remain a safe place to work and shop.
You will be Responsible For
* Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural, great service.
* Encouraging customer feedback via the 'have your say' survey.
* Working across all store areas, including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Applying training to work safely.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and contributing to profit delivery.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately to ensure correct payment.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
* Adhering to the 'think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions, explaining actions to customers.
* Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
* Possibly leading shifts in the absence of managers.
* Following all training for safety and legal compliance.
* If applicable, managing day-to-day operations of the Post Office, including passing necessary background checks.
