About You Youll be a detail-driven and experienced Electrical Design Engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and taking projects from concept to completion.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in electrical design engineering, ideally within industrial, machinery, or control systems environments
Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Strong knowledge of IEC 60204 and IEC 61439 standards
Practical understanding of CE marking, DFMEA, and electrical safety compliance
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical
Familiarity with 3D CAD platforms such as Autodesk Inventor, Creo, or Siemens NX (advantageous)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
Key Responsibilities Interpret design briefs and produce detailed design calculations and technical documentation
Create comprehensive wiring diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings using AutoCAD Electrical
Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry and regulatory standards
Generate and approve Bills of Materials (BOMs) and design documentation
Manage and track Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
Oversee CE marking compliance and support DFMEA activities
Support R&D, prototype testing, and continuous product improvement
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
Provide engineering support to production, sales, and service teams
Deliver projects on time, to specification, and within budget
