This is a fantastic junior / graduate food opportunity working for large multi-sites progressive food business who produce a delicious range of own label and branded food products. Working within a large R&D team, the successful candidate will need to be a real “foodie” with a passion for creative innovative and consumer trend-based product development. This opportunity is a great environment to hone your skills and practical knowledge to translate big ideas into fantastic flavourful products as the business looks to expand their product portfolio.
People Profile.
1. Prior experience working within a creative development environment
2. Knowledge/experience of food manufacturing processes
3. Food Science/Technology or related degree, or alternatively a HNC Food Science/Technology, BTEC Food Science, alternatively a culinary/chef-based qualifications will also be considered
4. A real “foodie” with passion/flair for creative innovative trend-based product development
5. Ambitious self-starter, able to manage their own projects independently
6. An ability to work well within a broader R&D team
7. Solution oriented
Key Accountabilities.
8. Deliver the R&D programme for NPD/EPD/ESG for the related product area.
9. Lead scale-up development via pilot plant & factory trials
10. Work independently to develop new ideas and shape projects
11. Monitor current trends in cuisines, ingredients, and consumer trends
12. Understand the ingredient, product functionality and work with suppliers to develop exciting new opportunities
13. Progress all aspects of document control and process relating to projects
14. To work with the packaging, sensory and marketing teams to set benchmarks and appropriate product assessments
