HR Operations Advisor

West Yorkshire Police is seeking multiple customer-focused HR Operations Advisors to join its People Directorate. You will provide advice and support across a range of HR processes, ensuring accurate and timely administration of internal recruitment, policy queries, and employment changes.
As a HR Operations Advisor, you will:
Act as the first point of contact for HR policy queries, offering guidance and signposting to relevant procedures.
Administrate internal recruitment processes, including pre-employment checks, contract preparation, and onboarding of internal applicants.
Maintain accurate HR records and systems, including updates related to organisational change, maternity, and reasonable adjustments.
Support pay-related appeals and coordinating officer/staff movements, including acting up and temporary promotions.
Ensure all employment changes are communicated to relevant stakeholders such as payroll and local management.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Experience in HR administration and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to interpret and apply HR policies and procedures.
Previous experience of using systems to obtain management information.
Basic knowledge of recruitment processes and onboarding activities. (Desirable)
Working towards or holding a Level 3 CIPD qualification. (Desirable)
