Newpower are currently recruiting for a motivated, professional Finance Assistant to join our team.
The Role:
Sales Invoicing
Co-ordinate with production teams on bus status, ensuring billing is processed in a timely manner and in line with agreements as per customer purchase orders.
Communicating with sales and production to ensure the required information for billing is available to ensure customer payment is not delayed.
Reconcile invoicing vs bus claims - to form part of both weekly and month end reporting.
Reconcile the out-of-scope register against customer agreements, purchase orders and invoices raised. Communicate with sales, supply chain and production as required.
Accounts Payable Queries
First point of contact for accounts payable related queries.
Investigate status of existing PR/PO processing.
Escalation of urgent queries to finance manager
Assist with collation of the weekly payment list, for review by the finance manager.
Weekly Reporting
Collate data to assist with the creation of the weekly balanced scorecards.
Liaise with HR to validate absence, holiday and overtime accuracy.
Capex Support
Assist with the raising of capex requests, where required.
Track capex requests through the approvals process, PR/PO raising and ultimately the invoice posting, capitalisation and addition to the fixed asset register.
Month End Reporting
Assist the finance manager with the collation and analysis of data for month end reporting across the two business units.
To include sales invoice reconciliations, overhead review and assisting with collation of data for cost of sales analysis.
The Requirements:
5 GCSE's Grade C or above, including Maths and English
Level 2 AAT Qualified (Desirable)
Demonstrate 6 months experience in a busy finance office
Experience within accounts payable and receivable
Demonstrate experience of all Microsoft packages including Excel skills
Strong communication skills
Good attention to detail
A driving licence is required to work between our two sites in Bicester.
