Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef, based in St Andrews. As a Sous Chef at The Kithmore, you will assist in overseeing kitchen operations, contribute to menu development, and ensure food preparation meets our high-quality standards. You will support the Head Chef in managing the kitchen team, maintaining compliance with food safety regulations, and coordinating prep and service. Additional responsibilities include inventory management, monitoring supplies, and mentoring junior kitchen staff to uphold excellence in culinary execution.

* Expertise in culinary techniques, food presentation, and ingredient preparation
* Experience in menu development and an understanding of flavor profiles
* Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure smooth kitchen operations
* Leadership abilities to manage and motivate a diverse kitchen team
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, including maintaining kitchen cleanliness
* Adaptability and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment
* Culinary certification or relevant qualifications; formal chef training is preferred
* Previous experience in a high-volume or fine dining environment is an asset
