Position Summary
The Accounting Assistant provides essential support to the accounting department by performing various transactions processing, clerical and administrative tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. The role will provide support activities aimed at preparing balance sheets, trial balances, accounting classification and consolidation, generating financial reports, preparing electronic spreadsheets and accounting documents (via the system), and maintaining the company's accounting database, in accordance with internal procedures and respecting stipulated deadlines.
Employment Status: Full-time role
Location: Requires daily onsite attendance; this is not a remote-work position.
Duties And Responsibilities
1. Processing and accounting for Accounts Payable
2. Maintenance of Accounts Payable Admin Support
3. Processing and accounting for Accounts Receivable and Invoicing
4. Processing and coordination of Company Credit Checks
5. Performing sales files review and CUF management
6. Assisting with the preparation of balance sheets, trial balances, and financial reports
7. Assisting with payroll administration on a bi-weekly basis
8. Assisting in production of company payment runs
9. Assisting with Administration of Expenses
10. Administration over accounts email boxes
11. Processing weekly mass journal reports and processes
12. Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
13. Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
REQUIRED
14. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
