We are seeking a caring, motivated and inclusive practitioner to work as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant. You would support the children in our Reception classroom, and act as a key worker for a child with significant special educational needs. We are a nurturing school where every child is valued, and we recognise that behaviour is a form of communication. The right candidate will bring empathy, patience and a reflective approach, ensuring that children feel safe, understood and supported in their learning. Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs. The role includes a mixture of 1:1 and small-group support, as well as assisting the class teacher and other teaching assistants within the classroom environment. Please note the successful candidate will ideally work 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only. St Michael’s has recently been judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.
