Specialist Teaching Assistant - Autism Provision (Secondary)
Location: Warwick
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only

A secondary school in Warwick is seeking to appoint a committed and experienced Teaching Assistant with a strong background in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). About the Role
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support secondary-aged students with autism across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play an integral role in helping students access the curriculum, develop independence, and build confidence both academically and socially.
Key duties will include:
Providing structured 1:1 and small group support within mainstream lessons and specialist settings
Assisting in the delivery of differentiated learning activities
Supporting students' organisation, communication, and emotional regulation
Implementing strategies and targets outlined in EHCPs
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement with learning
Collaborating with teachers, the SENCO, pastoral staff, and external professionals
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Has experience supporting secondary-aged students with autism
Demonstrates a strong understanding of ASC strategies and inclusive classroom practice
Is calm, resilient, and able to build positive relationships with young people
Can adapt to the varied needs of students across different subjects
Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3 desirable)
Has a sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
