Educated to degree level in English, English Literature, or a related subject (or equivalent), or possessing substantial relevant subject knowledge and teaching experience in English. Excellent communication, literacy, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with learners, colleagues, and a range of stakeholders. A commitment to continuous professional development, including working towards or holding a recognised teaching qualification at Level 7 (such as a PGCE in post-16 education, CertEd, or equivalent). Adaptability and a learner-centred approach, with the ability to meet a wide range of learning needs through inclusive teaching and effective differentiation.
