We are recruiting for an experienced credit controller to join an established technology company offering an excellent salary and benefits package. The key duties will involve enforcing the firm’s collections policies using a variety of methods, liaising directly with resellers to chase outstanding debt. You will ensure accurate records and documentation of all conversations/communications with customer to keep up to date on debt issues. You will achieve monthly cash collection and debtor day targets, meet with internal partners monthly to review their debt and discuss challenging areas.
You will ensure invoices are being sent in accordance with timelines, check e-billing platforms, ensure timely resolution of customer queries on unpaid invoices, and escalate specific risk areas/issues to senior management. You will perform new client credit checks, raising any concerns, along with being involved in ad-hoc credit duties/projects. You will be given the opportunity to develop in the role as you grow with the organisation.
The role is based at the office in Tewkesbury during the probationary period but on completion of probation there is the option to work up to 3 days from home and the company offer flexible working
Key Responsibilities:
• Chasing overdue debts to secure payment
• Ability and desire to hit collections targets set
• Ability to accurately record and co-ordinate timely answers to customer queries that are causing non-payment
• Close liaison with customers and internal contacts to resolve any queries
• Follow closely a procedure of sending collection letters up to litigation stage
• Recording all actions electronically against the debtors accounts being chased
• Prompt and accurate allocation of cash and credit notes
• Reconciling debtors accounts
• Collection of withholding tax certificates from customers
• Credit account setup
• Credit report updates in the ERP system
• Sending statements monthly to all customers
• Cover for the US credit controller during higher workload or absence
• Ad-Hoc projects and duties as required
Essential Attributes
* Previous experience working in credit control
* Experience of multinational customers across the globe
* Organised, methodical, accurate with the ability to work independently
* Self-motivated, assertive and an excellent communicator
* Competent using Microsoft suite of products (Great Plains, CreditSafe desirable)
* ICM Membership desirable as is AAT qualifications
Salary dependent on Experience.
This is a full-time role (Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm); excellent holidays and benefits.
