Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual for the role of Assistant Community Facilities Manager at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (RDUH). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing staff and operational services, excellent problem-solving skills, and outstanding organisational abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to ensure effective service delivery across multiple sites.
The Community Facilities Service supports several community hospitals from Axminster to Moretonhampstead, requiring flexibility and independence, along with collaborative working across the region.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing daily operations of staff and facilities services
* Coordinating site teams across multiple hospitals
* Problem-solving and adapting to service demands
* Travel between sites – a full driving licence is essential

About the Role
Support the Community Facilities Manager in managing Facilities Services across all community hospital sites within the Eastern Division. Ensure staffing levels meet service standards and client needs at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with daily management of facilities services, including cleaning, patient catering, and non-clinical services
* Provide leadership to Facilities Services Supervisors and collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service
* Monitor service standards and address deficiencies
* Support compliance with NHS standards, PLACE, and CQC requirements
* Maintain awareness of cost-effective service delivery and budgets
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, hours per week to be confirmed.
