Onsite is part of the South Staffordshire Group – a 3,000-strong organisation behind South Staffs Water, Cambridge Water, and several leading utility support businesses – offering long-term development and career progression.
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable Operative to join our operational team. In this hands-on role, you will support the delivery of our services on customer sites, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with a Rig Leader and other team members to maintain excellent service quality and support the company’s reputation for professionalism and reliability.
The Role
Organisation & Preparation
* Follow instructions, arrive prepared with PPE, and assist with equipment and vehicle checks.
* Complete required paperwork and understand job documentation.
Site Work
* Support safe equipment use and follow risk assessments.
* Look after equipment, report issues, and leave sites clean and safe.
* Accurately record time and follow quality procedures.
Health & Safety
* Follow all H&S policies and wear PPE.
* Report hazards, near misses, and accidents immediately.
Communication & Teamwork
* Communicate politely and work cooperatively with colleagues and clients.
* Maintain professional behaviour onsite.
General
* Support new starters and attend required training.
* Identify and report potential business opportunities.
