Key responsibilities:
1. Act as a trusted strategic partner, analysing and interpreting financial performance to support business objectives
2. Operate with transparency and objectivity, constructively challenging senior leaders to ensure sound financial decision making
3. Identify and track financial risks, opportunities, and improvement plans within business units
4. Work with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to link business strategy, operations, and financial outcomes
5. Lead the budget-setting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational priorities
6. Evaluate cost drivers and savings proposals to ensure budgets are realistic, deliverable, and outcome focused
7. Collaborate with budget holders to ensure understanding, ownership, and action on financial performance
8. Identify and deliver sustainable savings and efficiencies, promoting smarter resource utilisation
9. Drive continuous improvement and strengthen financial governance and process effectiveness
10. Deliver financial insights that align decisions with long term organisational strategy
What they're looking for:
11. Qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or QBE
12. Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to build relationships, influence outcomes, and communicate effectively
13. Good IT skills including Excel
