Do you want to make a difference in my life? I am a gentleman in my mid 40s, with Cerebral Palsy, scoliosis, athetoid quadriplegia; and I am looking for personal assistants to join my existing team. Due to my physical disability, I need full support with all aspects of daily living to promote my independence to achieve a good quality of life. This includes supporting me with all moving and handling tasks, managing my skin integrity, personal care, nutrition and hydration, administering my medications, domestic chores, and enabling me to access the local community. Full training will be provided. I very much enjoy attending musical activities; I like to go to pubs, bars and nightclubs for drinks and dancing, and I am very interested in most sports; particularly football and tennis. I also like watching TV and socialising with my family and friends. I like to travel, applicants need to be able to travel both within UK, and outside of the UK. I am outgoing and NOT a stay-at-home type of a guy! Various shift patterns are available during the day as well as waking nights; I am looking for personal assistants who can cover: Saturday waking nights, every other Monday waking night, Tuesday or Wednesday day shift (to be negotiated) and the occasional Sunday day shift. Candidates will be expected to cover during other PAs annual leave. ABOUT YOU The right candidate will be calm and have a genuine caring nature, good communication skills and a sense of humour. I require male applicants as per my preference to support with my personal care. Candidates must be prepared to support me with my night-time social life. Due to the nature of the care and support I require, individuals experienced in health and social care would be preferred, however full training will be provided. Car drivers with a full, clean driving license are essential, and candidates must meet the requirements for motor insurance purposes.
