Overview of the Role
The School of Education, University of Leeds, seeks to recruit a Research Assistant for two evaluation projects funded by the Education Endowment Foundation:
Efficacy trial of Writing Roots: an evaluation led at the University of Leeds by Professor Louise Tracey, in partnership with RAND Europe, to assess the impact of the Writing Roots programme (developed by Literacy Tree) on the writing skills of primary school children in Years 2 and 5.
The successful candidate will work within a small team in the School of Education. The role involves trial coordination to collect teacher and pupil data from schools, conducting school visits to interview teachers, and facilitating pupil focus groups. The project is currently in the setup stage, and the Research Assistant will oversee the day-to-day management of the evaluation from setup through to the publication of the final report. While there may be opportunities to work across two trials, this role will primarily lead on one evaluation.
