The Role We are looking for a talented and motivated U.S.-qualified lawyer to join our highly regarded High Yield team in London. The Team
Our High Yield group sits at the heart of our integrated leveraged finance practice, bringing together English and New York law capability to deliver seamless advice across the full range of leveraged finance and capital markets products. You will be joining a collaborative team of 2 partners, 2 counsel, 6 associates and 3 paralegals, collaborating closely with colleagues across finance, restructuring and capital solutions.
Our Practice
Our practice advises sponsors, corporates, investment banks, and alternative capital providers on:
* Rule 144A/Reg S offerings
* SEC-registered and private high-yield issuances
* European/U.S. cross-border financings
* Bank/bond structures
* TLB
* second-lien
* unitranche
* senior/mezzanine and private high-yield transactions
* Liability management and restructuring mandates
Responsibilities
* Work on high-yield bond offerings and committed financing transactions
* Support U.S., U.K., and European equity offerings
* Advise on complex liability management and restructuring transactions
* Draft key transaction documents
* Coordinate with global deal teams across multiple jurisdictions
Specific skills/experience required
* A U.S.-qualified lawyer (either a J.D. or LL.M. degree), ideally with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience in US or Europe, advising on capital markets, finance or M&A matters
* Admitted to the NY bar (or sitting the exam in July 2026)
* Academically strong, with excellent analytical skills
* Fluent in French or Italian
* Technically capable, commercially minded, and comfortable managing a dynamic workload
* A strong communicator and natural team player
* Robust, unflappable, diligent and ability to work well independently and under pressure and strict deadlines
* Experience working as part of lean deal teams
* Strong drafting and legal research capabilities
* Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities
* Entrepreneurial, pro‑active, and highly ambitious
* Trustworthy, confident, and high emotional intelligence
