As a Buyer at Evri, you’ll play a key role in driving value across the business by managing purchasing activities, supporting category strategies, and delivering commercial benefits. You’ll work collaboratively across departments to secure the best value from suppliers through effective negotiations, tendering, and contract management, while ensuring compliance with Evri’s procurement policies.
This role is ideal for someone who’s commercially savvy, analytical, and passionate about developing their procurement expertise in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
Take a look at the below to understand what you'll be doing as a Buyer:
1. Support Senior Procurement Managers through Evri’s 5-step category management process for your areas of spend responsibility.
2. Contribute to the ongoing development of the Procurement team’s governance, ways of working, and supplier risk management processes.
3. Lead commercial analysis within your assigned categories — including spend baselines, RFP evaluations, and savings reporting.
4. Deliver accurate financial insights to help stakeholders make informed decisions.
5. Support competitive tender processes (RFPs) — from supplier identification and proposal development through to final award.
6. Assist in commercial and contractual negotiations, ensuring successful handover to operational teams post-contract.
7. Manage in-contract spend and supplier compliance in line with Service Level Agreements and agreed terms.
8. Conduct market research to identify new innovations and cost-saving opportunities, including sustainability and decarbonisation initiatives.
9. Support execution of contracts through effective Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
10. Collaborate with business stakeholders to build cost models and identify areas for financial or operational improvement (e.g., packaging optimisation).
11. Work with Senior Procurement Managers to define key work packages, project plans, and timelines.

14. Financially aware, with experience working with commercial data and reporting insights to stakeholders.
15. Understanding of key procurement and financial principles, and strong numerical and analytical skills with advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.
16. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships quickly and influence others.
17. Awareness of financial accounting principles (cash flow, OPEX/CAPEX, savings recognition).
