Strategic Account Manager (Recruitment / Professional Services)
Location:
Bournemouth – Strong weekly presence in the office, alongside home working and client visits.
Salary:
£75,000–£85,000 base + OTE c.£180,000 + benefits
About the Role
We're working with a fast-growing professional services business in the technology space. They're looking for an experienced Strategic Account Manager to take full ownership of key clients, open new doors, and drive long-term commercial growth.
This is a senior B2B sales role focused on new business and account development. You'll be leading outbound activity, running high-level meetings, and building lasting relationships with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Win and grow enterprise-level clients through new business development and account management
* Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers (up to C-suite level)
* Drive outbound sales: phone, meetings, networking, and presentations
* Take a consultative approach to understand client needs and shape tailored solutions
* Hit revenue targets and activity KPIs
* Plan and grow key accounts over the long term
* Stay close to market trends and identify new opportunities
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure delivery matches expectations
What We're Looking For
* A consultative sales professional with experience influencing at senior level
* Proven track record in B2B professional services sales (e.g. IT, consulting, outsourcing, SaaS, recruitment)
* Recruitment sector experience is highly desirable – particularly those who have progressed to Account Director/Client Services Director level, managing large enterprise clients and driving account growth (not necessarily 360 recruitment, but client ownership and strategic development)
* Comfortable delivering SOW-led solutions or complex service agreements
* Ideally with experience selling into banking or financial services
* A strong business developer who consistently hits targets
* Skilled in building long-term client relationships
* Professional, driven, and resilient – someone who delivers

* £75,000–£85,000 base salary
