Infrastructure Engineer
Build and maintain infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems, using hardware, software, networks, and cloud computing platforms to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
Responsibilities
* Develop, deliver, and maintain high‑quality infrastructure solutions that fulfil business requirements, ensuring measurable reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use.
* Monitor IT infrastructure and system performance to identify, address, and resolve any potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages, using data to drive down mean time to resolution.
* Develop and implement automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention, utilizing software scripting/coding disciplines.
* Implement secure configuration and measures to protect infrastructure against cyber‑attacks, vulnerabilities, and other security threats, protecting hardware, software, and data from unauthorised access.
* Collaborate cross‑functionally with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define IT infrastructure requirements, devise solutions, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives via a data‑driven approach.
* Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, actively contributing to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
Qualifications
* Expertise with scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation/migration tasks.
* Working experience with IaC and automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Terraform.
* Experience with event bus products such as Kafka.
* Experience with API development, CI/CD tools, code versioning (git), and JIRA.
* Experience with eSaaS and logging, and DevOps automation tools.
* Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
