The Opportunity Operations Automation Lead - Fulfilment Operations (1 Year Fixed Term Contract) Location: London, UK Reporting to: Senior Manager, Operations About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of our Fulfilment Operations. As our Operations Automation Lead on a one-year fixed-term contract, you will be instrumental in identifying and driving off-platform automation opportunities to streamline our processes and improve overall performance. You will work collaboratively with various internal teams to understand current workflows, pinpoint areas for improvement, develop and execute a roadmap for impactful automation initiatives. This role demands strong analytical skills, project management capabilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic environment. In this role, you will Conduct in-depth analysis of existing Fulfilment, Implementation and Launch Operations processes to identify manual tasks and areas where off-platform automation can drive significant efficiency gains. Develop a well-defined and prioritised roadmap of off-platform automation initiatives, outlining clear objectives, ROI, timelines, tools and roll out requirements. Lead the discovery phase for identified automation projects, collaborating closely with Operations stakeholders to thoroughly understand current state, pain points, and desired future state. Evaluate and recommend suitable off-platform automation tools and technologies, working with relevant teams to ensure alignment with our technology landscape. Drive the execution of the automation roadmap, managing projects effectively to ensure timely delivery and alignment with agreed-upon goals. Develop and implement robust change management strategies to facilitate the successful adoption of new automated processes within the Fulfilment Operations team. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of implemented automation solutions, monitor performance, and identify further optimisation opportunities. Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders across Fulfilment Operations, Technology, and other relevant departments throughout the project lifecycle. Document existing processes, new automated workflows, and relevant technical specifications. About You: To thrive in this role, you should possess: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced and evolving environment. Strong analytical skills with experience in handling and interpreting large datasets to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and measure the impact of automation initiatives. Demonstrated experience in identifying and implementing operational efficiency improvements, ideally with a focus on off-platform automation within a fulfilment, logistics, or similar operational context. Experience working with or a strong understanding of the capabilities of various AI-powered tools relevant to automation and data analysis. A track record of successfully managing projects, including defining scope, developing timelines, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all 1 levels Resilience and a growth mindset, enabling you to navigate challenges and learn quickly in a dynamic setting. Bonus Points For: Experience with specific off-platform automation tools or scripting languages relevant to process automation. Familiarity with process mapping and analysis techniques.
