Join Our Team as a Meter Reader
We are currently hiring Meter Readers in your postcode area. No previous experience is required. If you're seeking full-time work close to home, enjoy outdoor activities, and want a flexible schedule, this role could be perfect for you.
Role Responsibilities:
* Collect data from gas, electricity, and water meters at commercial and residential properties.
* Update meter readings accurately using a handheld device.
* Provide excellent customer service during visits.
What We Offer:
* Hourly pay of £12.61 - £13.00 with weekly payments.
* 40-45 hours per week with flexible start and finish times (Monday - Friday, occasional Saturday, between 8 am - 8 pm).
* Average annual earnings between £27,000 and £30,000.
* Bonus scheme with potential earnings up to £1,000 monthly.
* Overtime rates (£17 - £20) at manager’s discretion.

Candidate Requirements:
* Valid UK Driving Licence (minimum 1 year, no more than 3 points, no DR offences).
* Physically fit to walk 6-7 miles daily, with ability to bend, lift, kneel, and climb stairs.
* Willing to work in all weather conditions.
* Clear DBS check (no unspent criminal convictions).
* Clean credit report (no recent county court judgments, IVA, or debt relief orders).
* Customer service experience preferred but not essential.
Key Duties:
* Retrieve data from meters at various sites (training provided).
* Inspect metering equipment visually.
* Conduct charge point surveys.
* Work independently with motivation and a friendly, professional attitude.
* Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
Training Details:
One-week training, combining classroom and field sessions with experienced meter readers to give you practical insights into the role.
