A well-known multichannel footwear retailer is looking for a Junior Merchandiser to join their team to work with top leading brands. As the owner of trading for the Kids & Accessories department, you will be responsible for managing stock levels, forecasting key lines on line cards, placing repeats, and collaborating with brands on cancellations. Your role will involve planning future ranges by working closely with the Buying team and brands to curate the strongest possible product selection.
You will take full ownership of the planning system, effectively managing stock and OTB, and fostering strong relationships with key brands. Additionally, you will produce and analyse weekly reports, as well as prepare data and insights for meetings, including range sign-offs. A key part of your responsibilities will include planning promotions and markdowns, as well as managing intake to maximize sales, optimize stock flow, and align with warehouse weekly targets.
Building relationships across internal teams will be essential, particularly with Buying, Web, and Supply Chain teams. You will also oversee the management of your team, ensuring workload distribution is effective and aligned with departmental objectives. Training and developing your team will be a key focus, fostering their growth in line with both individual and team goals.
Lastly, you will contribute to senior management meetings by presenting figures and providing key information to support strategic decision-making. This is a varied and dynamic role that combines operational excellence with strategic input.
