A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LINEN PORTER AT THE MILNER YORK
What you'll be doing...
1.
* Collect, distribute and replenish clean linen to housekeeping floors, service areas and departments as required
* Remove soiled linen and transport it safely to designated laundry areas
* Assist with the organisation and rotation of linen stock to ensure availability and quality
* Ensure linen cupboards and storage areas are kept clean, tidy and well organised
* Follow correct manual handling procedures when lifting and transporting linen
* Adhere to health & safety, COSHH and infection control procedures at all times
* Support the Housekeeping team during peak periods, including weekends and holidays
* Report any maintenance issues or missing items promptly to keep rooms in top shape.
* Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards, helping maintain a safe environment for guests and team members.
* Support with special requests, like setting up extra beds or delivering extra amenities, going the extra mile to make each stay memorable.
* Work closely with other departments, especially the front desk and maintenance, to deliver a seamless guest experience.
