Job Description
* Line management of 1x Contracts Officer
* Responsible for the designing and improving organisation wide Contract Management (CM) Policies, Procedures and Framework.
* Design, promote and deliver company wide training courses in Contract Management and supplier due diligence.
* Proactively work with contract managers and monitor contract manager performance (e.g., imposing and monitoring performance plans, performance reporting)
* Work with Internal Audit to ensure a robust audit schedule is in place to test contract management compliance.
* Ensuring the organisation's contracts register is up to date and managed accordingly and available to the business.
* Ensure and manage contract signing processes, contract change requests, variations and extensions are carried out using the organisation's Governance Framework.
* Develop, manage and maintain supplier contract templates and train on use.
* Responsible for supplier on boarding and due diligence of all business suppliers, and creation of an ongoing monitoring programme.
* Design and deliver supplier due diligence and selection training across the business.
* Broker greater working relationships between Exec and the top tier and critical supply chain and develop our supplier relationship Policy and approach.
* Develop metrics and reports to ensure key stakeholders, Executive Board and Directors Group are kept advised on contract performance
* Carry out spend analysis and monitoring of supplier spend against agreed contract values and supplier set up values.
* Ensure latest legislative and regulatory requirements are applied with respect to our contracts and due diligence processes.
The Successful Applicant
* Educated to degree level or equivalent experience within the supply chain/procurement field
* Knowledge of commercial/contract law and terms and conditions of Contract is essential
* Proficiency of e-tendering/e-contracting systems essential
* Demonstrable experience managing supplier relationships and/or contracts
* Demonstrable experience of Governance and Public sector procurement legislation
* Demonstrates strong expert skills and capabilities in Contract Management principles, supplier due diligence and procurement
