About us
Hastoe owns and manages more than 7,500 homes across the south of England, from Devon to Norfolk. We are a social housing landlord and England's leading rural housing specialist. We deliver small housing developments in partnership with local communities although, for historic reasons, we also own some housing in urban areas.
We are passionate about providing a first-class service for our customers. If you are enthusiastic, customer-focused, and passionate about making a difference to people's lives, then we want to hear from you.
About the role
You'll enjoy working with people and be able to use your knowledge and experience to make a real difference to our residents. You will achieve this by being a valued first point of contact for our residents while on the estate, maintaining and improving the estate grounds and monitoring services provided. If you're a dab hand at getting practical, then we'd love to hear from you.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Keeping the scheme clean and tidy both inside and outside.
* Maintaining the appearance of the communal gardens.
* Carrying out litter picking and bin area maintenance.
* Helping residents, contractors and Hastoe colleagues on a daily basis.
* Conducting and recording regular fire checks and ensure they are accurately recorded.
About you
You will be working alone so need to be self-motivated to carry out your duties. You'll take pride in doing a good job and keeping the scheme in a clean and tidy condition.
You will be friendly and approachable, acting as the 'eyes and ears' of Hastoe on the scheme and regularly interacting with residents and contractors.
Previous experience in a similar role is necessary. We're looking for the right person, with a can-do attitude, and a willingness to learn and be part of our team.
