About the role The Hire Desk Controller role offers the right candidate the opportunity to build, develop and grow their career with a highly reputable and growing company. We’d love you to join our Operations Department to coordinate crane hire, working with clients and the internal team to ensure great service, efficient use of resources, and safe, on-time lifting solutions. You will constantly look for opportunities to improve and innovate the administration process, reporting any ideas to your manager. Whilst knowledge of crane, plant and vehicle operations and/or experience within a hire desk role is welcome, don’t worry if you have no direct experience, we will teach you everything you need to know. Having the ability to work both as part of a team and also take overall responsibility for your personal workload, whilst delivering excellent levels of service is essential. A desire to put our clients’ needs first and a desire to develop your own skills is a key part of fitting into this established team. About you To be successful in this role you’ll have strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, be good with the written word, be reliable and a team player and have a great telephone manner. You will need to be good at processing information/data and you must have excellent computer skills and be conversant with using all main Microsoft programmes.
