Accounts Payable Clerk – 6-Month FTC At Rutherford Briant, we’re supporting a well-established organisation near Essex, renowned for its strong finance function and commitment to accuracy and efficiency. They are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support the finance team with day-to-day transactional operations.
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will:
1. Process supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments
2. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries efficiently
3. Assist with month-end accruals and reporting
4. Maintain and update vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies
5. Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and process improvements
6. Collaborate with other finance functions to ensure smooth transactional operations
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will need:
7. Previous experience in accounts payable or transactional finance
8. Good understanding of purchase-to-pay processes and reconciliations
9. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
10. Competence in Excel and financial systems
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
