Cyber Security Engineer
Location: Farnborough, UK (Hybrid Working Policy)
Clearance: High level of security clearance (SC/ DV ‘Developed Vetting’)

Because of a key strategic development and a new business opportunity, we require a security-cleared Cyber Security Engineer based in the UK, working at our Farnborough site and remotely. Leidos has over 30 years of experience supporting major government systems worldwide and is expanding its UK technical team supporting UK Govt. projects. What Will You Be Doing?
Supporting the development and deployment of a new IT application and infrastructure for a critical operational end user, the Cyber Security Engineer will lead security implementation and assurance efforts within a defense project. The role requires expertise in protective and information security, applying frameworks like Government Functional Standard 007.
Required Skills:
1. Vulnerability scanning and reporting
2. Endpoint security management
3. Incident management and ticket resolution
4. System hardening and patching
5. Change management
6. Participation in security meetings
7. Documentation of security processes and configurations
Main Objectives:
Perform regular vulnerability scans, code audits, and manage security tools. Ensure endpoint protection, antivirus updates, network controls, and access controls are maintained. Respond to security incidents, manage tickets, and conduct system hardening and compliance audits. Assist in evaluating system changes for security impacts and participate in security meetings. Maintain detailed security documentation.
