Are you an experienced procurement professional looking for your next role? If so, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Procurement Officer.
Situated within the finance team, the successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager and the Council&s external Procurement Service Provider to deliver a quality procurement service, promote best practice and achieve continuous improvement.
The role will involve advising and support colleagues in all aspects of procurement and contract management, leading on the production of the annual Procurement Plan, assisting with the development of procurement systems and ensuring financial governance arrangements are maintained.
We are looking for individuals who have an in-depth knowledge of procurement and contract regulations, including the application of the Procurement Act 2023, and have experience of working in a procurement role, ideally within a Local Government/Public Sector environment. The successful candidate will be CIPS qualified and have a successful track record of working to tight deadlines in a performance-driven environment.
