An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to work within the Tissue Viability Service in Bedfordshire. This post holder will be responsible for the safe and effective care in the on-going assessment, Doppler and hosiery/compression care for community patients with venous disease. They will also be responsible for holistic assessments in non-healing wounds formulating care plans in collaboration with the Wound Care or Tissue Viability Nurse.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will also support the delivery of student/nurse education within the leg ulcer clinics and in the community
The post is based at Grove View Health Hub, Dunstable, Part Time: 0.5 WTE (18.75 hours). You will need to be a first level registered nurse with an interest in Tissue Viability.

Education
Essential criteria
1. •Registered nurse
Desirable criteria
2. •Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience
Experience

3. •Experience of face to face contact with the public

4. Experience of working in a team
Knowledge
Essential criteria
5. Ability to work without supervision. Able to work on own initiative, organising and prioritising workloads to changing and often tight deadlines
6. Skills for communication with patients and TV service team members, inside and outside the organisation requiring interpersonal and oral / written communication skills
Desirable criteria
7. Basic knowledge of Tissue Viability
