Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Contract – Outside IR35) Contract Duration: 4 Months with potential extension Location: Eastwood Rate: £25-£29ph (Outside IR35) Overview We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support site operations on a 4-month contract basis. This role is outside IR35 and is well suited to contractors with a strong hands-on mechanical background. The position is mechanically biased, with a strong focus on valves, mechanical repairs, and plant maintenance, alongside basic electrical fault-finding support where required. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive mechanical maintenance on site plant and equipment. Diagnose faults and complete strip-downs, repairs, and rebuilds of valves, pumps, and mechanical assemblies. Perform mechanical repairs on pipework, fittings, and associated systems. Respond efficiently to breakdowns to minimise downtime. Support basic electrical fault-finding on motors, sensors, and control equipment where necessary. Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of mechanical equipment. Accurately complete maintenance documentation.
