Join the Royal Society of Chemistry as we seek a dynamic Programme Manager to transform digital learning in the chemical sciences.

Salary Plan – 44,000.00 GBP Annual

Contract – 2‑year fixed term


In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For

* Own and continuously improve the digital learning operating model with tactical product delivery oversight
* Align learning developments with RSC strategic aims and communicate new offerings organisation‑wide
* Champion a research- and customer‑focused culture to maximise value for chemical science professionals
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop new products within defined frameworks
* Maintain expertise across professional development platforms, particularly digital learning systems
* Optimise customer experience to enhance RSC's professional reputation
* Integrate education services coherently within the wider RSC portfolio
* Build collaborative internal relationships and communicate initiatives across the organisation
* Network externally with professional bodies, digital learning leaders, and RSC community members; represent RSC at conferences and industry events, sharing insights and building partnerships


What we are looking for

* A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience; a chemistry or scientific background is preferred.
* Experience developing and managing digital learning experiences in a broad organisation with multiple stakeholder interactions.
* Understanding of digital learning platforms.
* Strong project and time‑management skills.
* Initiative and creativity; ability to develop new ideas and approaches and modify pre‑existing operating models to continually improve processes; ability to work collaboratively in a matrix environment.
* Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to continuous improvement.
* Ability to work both as part of multifunctional teams and independently.
* Good IT skills.


Desirable

* Understanding of the principles of instructional design.
* Understanding of principles of Product Management.
* Interest or awareness of chemistry’s role in advancing science and technology and of the factors currently influencing those responsible for the professional development of others through a digital learning environment.

Working arrangement – The role is contractually based at our Cambridge office, but you will be able to work from home within the UK, with the expectation that you will attend the office once a week. The role offers hybrid working; flexible working arrangements can be discussed in your application.
