The Role
As a Purchasing and Supply Co-ordinator at Matara UK Ltd, you will play a vital part in ensuring the efficient procurement and supply of materials, components and finished goods required to support our production, machining and sales operations. You'll work closely with internal teams (sales, production, warehouse and finance) and external suppliers to manage stock levels, place orders, track deliveries, resolve supply issues, and contribute to continuous improvement in purchasing processes. Matara is known for bespoke automation solutions, quality service, and rapid lead times across diverse industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Raise and manage purchase orders to support production, stock and customer demand
2. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, correct quantities and competitive pricing
3. Monitor stock levels and forecast requirements to maintain continuity of supply
4. Liaise with internal teams (sales, production, warehouse and finance) to align purchasing priorities
5. Track deliveries and proactively resolve supplier, quality or invoice issues
6. Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier and inventory records within ERP systems
