Sir Frederick Gibberd College is on its path to excellence: a place where high quality teaching and learning is delivered, where exemplary behaviour and care is guaranteed, where great outcomes are attained and opportunities for all to achieve and flourish is a given. The school opened in September 2019, named after the celebrated architect who designed Harlow as one of the UK's first post-war New Towns. From its inception, the school has been dedicated to providing high-quality education to the local community. It has grown from a cohort of Year 7 students to a whole community where students, their families and the public come together to learn, have fun and make a difference. In September 2021, the sixth form opened, expanding the provision of quality education for the young people of Harlow. At Sir Frederick Gibberd College, students are given every opportunity to achieve this- with a personalised curriculum, rich and innovative experiences outside of the classroom. About The Trust BMAT is a thriving community of schools, committed to providing an outstanding education for every student attending one of our schools. We create environments where individuals matter, confidence flourishes, and every child can achieve exceptional outcomes. We currently oversee seven secondary academies and five primary academies, primarily located in Harlow, with additional sites in Newham and Stansted. The Trust’s vision is clear - to work together to smash through the barriers that prevent children from becoming confident, high-achieving, and independent individuals. BMAT Education is committed to safeguarding children; successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance, we may also conduct an online search about any shortlisted candidates as part of our due diligence to identify any matters that might relate directly to our legal duty to meet safeguarding duties, in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)
