We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer – Consulting to join our growing team of tech professionals. In this role you will deliver real‑world infrastructure solutions that help our clients modernise and secure their environments.
Responsibilities
Typical projects involve a mix of on‑premise and cloud work, including:
* Configuring new cloud services and migrating Microsoft 365 environments.
* Deploying or upgrading virtual servers, installing and securing firewalls, setting up VPNs, and implementing backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
Key focus areas:
* Project Delivery (80%)
* Deliver implementation projects that meet scope, budget, and time targets.
* Produce clear, professional documentation for clients and internal teams.
* Manage effective handovers to Service Delivery.
* Implement new technologies that add value to client environments.
* Project Planning (20%)
* Scope and plan successful projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Relevant networking, infrastructure and Microsoft qualifications (e.g. CCNA, JNCP, MCSA, VCP).
* Experience managing Microsoft Azure & Office 365, including Conditional Access, Azure AD Connect, Exchange Online/Hybrid, SharePoint, Teams, Intune/Endpoint Manager.
* Experience with public and private cloud (AWS, Azure).
* Experience in VMware vSphere and Hyper‑V environments, including replication and fail‑over.
* Experience supporting VOIP systems such as FreePBX, Mitel, Gamma, Skype/Teams.
* Experience with security technologies: MDM, MFA, email filtering, next‑generation firewalls, antivirus solutions.
* Installation and configuration of Windows Server.
* Experience maintaining, updating, and troubleshooting SAN devices and iSCSI connectivity.
* Experience supporting and troubleshooting RDS, RemoteApp and Citrix environments.
* Network troubleshooting at 3rd line; firewall support (Palo Alto, Sophos, FortiNet, Draytek, Juniper, Cisco).
* Windows desktop, application, tablet and mobile device support.
* Effective communication, methodical documentation, independent research, organisation and prioritisation.
* Full clean UK driving licence.
