Our Banbridge based Client has an opportunity for a Quality Inspector with hands-on experience in Paint and Shot blast / surface preparation and inspection of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing modules. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting painted and surface-prepared components as well as MEP modules to ensure all meet required standards, specifications, and customer expectations. This role requires a strong understanding of surface treatment processes, coatings, quality inspection techniques, and MEP system components.

Key Responsibilities:
2. Inspect painted and shot blasted surfaces for defects, including coating thickness, adhesion, finish quality, and surface cleanliness.
3. Perform visual and dimensional inspections of MEP modules, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
4. Use measurement tools such as dry film thickness gauges, surface profile gauges, callipers, and other inspection equipment relevant to MEP modules.
5. Verify compliance with relevant industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality procedures for both surface treatment and MEP modules.
6. Conduct routine audits of surface preparation, coating processes, and MEP assembly/installation to ensure consistent quality.
7. Ensure activities comply with health, safety and environmental regulations.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
8. Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in manufacturing or construction environments, with expertise in paint and shot blasting/surface preparation and MEP module inspection.
9. Strong knowledge of surface treatment techniques, paint application processes, and related quality standards.
10. Experience inspecting MEP modules for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components against drawings and specifications.
11. Proficiency in using inspection tools.
12. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality documents.
13. Relevant certifications in quality inspection or coating inspection (, NACE Coating Inspector Level 1 or 2) are a plus.
Desirable Criteria:
14. In-depth understanding of various coating types and inspection techniques.
15. Familiarity with industry standards.
16. Awareness of quality management systems and their application to coating inspection.
17. Experience with material receipt inspections and verification of certificates and expiry dates.
18. Familiarity with digital reporting and inspection software.
