We are working with an NHS hospital that requires a Dental Nurse to provide cover for staffing shortfalls. The shifts are sporadic, but advance notice will be given. At present, the hospital requires cover on Thursday 9th October, Monday 13th October, Monday 20th October, and Monday 27th October. Working hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (7.5 hours per day), and the rate is negotiable. We are looking for a flexible nurse who can cover all or some of these shifts as needed.The contact is ongoing. Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist with all aspects of patient care e.g. Preparation of filling / impression materials, assist the dentist during the taking of x-rays, process and mount x-ray films and change processor chemicals as required. Maintain a clean and sterile environment within the surgery. Have a good knowledge of all dental equipment, its uses and its basic maintenance, e.g. chair and suction units, sterilizers, hand-pieces, etc. Maintenance of stock levels, re-ordering as necessary Accurately record and manage patient information. Deliver outstanding patient care.
What You'll Need A valid GDC registration is essential. Evidence of immunisation to Hep B, MMR, TB/BCG and HIV, Hep C, Hep B antigen tests (EEP) At least 2 Clinical References from the past 3 years (UK only). Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
