Their Denton facility is a hub of innovation, safety, and operational excellence and they are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to lead the team and drive continuous improvement in it’s manufacturing processes. Your Role: As Operations Manager, you will: Oversee daily production activities, ensuring alignment with delivery, quality, and cost targets. Lead and inspire a diverse team of engineers, operators, and support staff. Champion a Safety-First culture, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to support new product introductions and process improvements. Monitor and drive performance using SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) principles and operational KPIs. Act as the initial operational escalation point for customer and stakeholder issues, providing timely updates and resolutions. About You: You are a proactive and engaging leader with: Proven experience in a production or operations management role within a manufacturing or engineering environment—Aerospace or Defence sector experience is highly desirable. Strong leadership capabilities with a hands-on, proactive, and engaging management style. Sound understanding of engineering drawings, CAD data, and technical documentation. Solid grasp of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels. Commercially aware, with experience managing risk and contributing to strategic decisions. Confident in using business systems and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Power BI); upskilling would be available as required. Holds a full UK driving licence and has the legal right to work in the UK.
