Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
In this role, you will design and deliver dynamic, responsive web applications that set new standards for performance and usability. Working closely with product owners, UX designers, and fellow developers, you will translate business needs into intuitive front-end solutions while integrating seamlessly with back-end services. You’ll contribute to every stage of the agile lifecycle, from refining acceptance criteria to optimising code for quality and performance.
You will also play a key role in knowledge sharing across the team, reviewing code, and driving continuous improvement through innovation and best practices. This is an opportunity to lead on technical decisions, collaborate closely with colleagues, and ensure solutions are both robust and future-ready.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead & Innovate: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, responsive front-end applications using Angular and NgRx.
Develop & Deliver: Build and integrate APIs with .NET Core services, optimising SQL queries for performance.
Optimise & Automate: Write automated tests with Jasmine and Playwright to ensure reliability and maintainability.
Collaborate & Share: Contribute to agile ceremonies, peer reviews, and knowledge sharing across the team.
Enhance & Evolve: Monitor and optimise application performance, enforcing best practice coding standards.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
To succeed, you will bring strong technical expertise in Angular, TypeScript, and state management with NgRx, alongside proven experience building complex SPAs. Your background will include integrating APIs with .NET Core and SQL Server, with a focus on delivering high-quality, tested, and scalable solutions in an agile environment.
You should have:
Extensive experience with Angular (v18) and TypeScript.
Strong proficiency with NgRx (v16) for state management.
Proven ability in unit testing (Jasmine) and end-to-end automation (Playwright).
Solid back-end skills with .NET Core, SQL Server, and Entity Framework.
Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.
Experience in agile delivery with Git-based workflows.
