Assistant Store Manager Location: Leytonstone and Upper Holloway Salary: £37,585 - £39,425
Pin Point Recruitment is partnering with a leading retail business to recruit an experienced Assistant Store Manager for a high-performing, multi-million-pound store.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same. Youll support the Store Manager in running day-to-day operations, lead and develop your team, and step up to take full responsibility when required.
Important: This is not a training or step-up role. You must already be working as an Assistant Store Manager (or equivalent) in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
The Role Every day will bring something different. One day you may be managing deliveries, placing orders, or scheduling rotas to ensure operational efficiency. The next, you could be leading team briefings, coaching staff, resolving customer queries, or conducting till spot checks.
All the while, youll stay focused on the bigger goals: maximising sales, minimising costs, delivering outstanding customer service, and driving operational performance.
Responsibilities: Leading, motivating, and developing a diverse and talented team
Driving sales and maximising profitability
Supporting recruitment, training, and performance management
Handling customer queries and maintaining high service standards
Managing stock levels, deliveries, and product availability
Organising staff rotas and holiday planning
Ensuring operational efficiency and cost control
Stepping into the Store Manager role when required
Assistant Store Manager About You Were looking for a strong people-manager who thrives under pressure and can get the best out of their team in a demanding environment.
Currently working at Assistant Store Manager (or equivalent) level
Experienced in leading teams in a fast-paced, customer or stakeholder-driven environment
Strong in time management, organisation, and operational efficiency
Target-driven and commercially focused
Passionate about delivering excellent customer service
