The Emergency Department at Scunthorpe General Hospital is looking to recruit a band 6 sister/charge nurse and there really has never been a better time to join us! We now have a New Fit for Purpose Emergency Department. In addition, we are also excited to launch our new and innovative career progression pathways. These clearly defined pathways, which are in alignment and set against the RCN and NMTNG frameworks offer fantastic education and career development opportunities for those with an appetite for innovation, change and self-improvement.

You will need to be experienced in all areas of Emergency Nursing and a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with good communication and leadership skills.

As a registered nurse the post holder is personally accountable for their practice and must adhere to the NMC standards expected of them.

Be an effective role model for staff and lead the team

Maintain own professional development through ongoing education and development, ensuring that CPD requirements and clinical supervision are met together with all mandatory training.

Adhere to the Trust policy on Scope of Professional Practice, developing own sphere of practice with guidance from Department Manager.

Adhere to sickness reporting policy.
