As a KS2 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will support pupils to develop independence, confidence, and resilience, preparing them for the transition to secondary school and ensuring they achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress to inform planning and interventions Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN Promote positive behaviour and high expectations in the classroom Create a stimulating, structured, and inclusive learning environment Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior staff Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and needs Contribute to staff meetings, planning sessions, and school initiatives Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Have recent experience teaching in KS2 Be confident in delivering a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills Be enthusiastic, reflective, and innovative in teaching practice Be a collaborative team player with strong communication skills Be committed to inclusion, safeguarding, and promoting pupil wellbeing The school is conveniently located in Cambridge, with excellent transport links and a friendly, supportive community.
