We're looking for an Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join our busy finance team and support the smooth running of our financial operations.
The Role
You'll play a key role in managing day to day bookkeeping and compliance, including:
* Recording and reconciling invoices, payments, and bank transactions.
* Processing subcontractor invoices, CIS deductions and returns. along with ensuring the correct application of VAT and the VAT Reverse scheme.
* Assisting with the preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
* Supporting payroll processes with our external provider.
* Assisting with financial reports, project cost tracking, and year end accounts.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in bookkeeping or accounts (construction industry experience preferred).
* Strong knowledge of CIS, VAT, and payroll processes.
* Proficiency with Sage 50 and MS Excel.
* Detail-focused, organised, and confident working to deadlines.
* A good communicator with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
