We work collaboratively across 10 countries to collect, connect and understand complex data, so that governments, nation states, armed forces and commercial businesses can unlock digital advantage in the most demanding environments.Front End DeveloperAs a Front end developer you will:Analyse UX requirements and produce design artefacts such as wireframesDevelop and implement reusable UI components using modern ReactUse appropriate software development tools; e.g. source control, continuous integrationFollow industry standard disciplines and best practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design and ship new featuresTranslate designs and wireframes into high-quality, stable and performant codeOptimise components for maximum performance across various web browsers and devicesTroubleshoot and debug issues on various platforms to ensure smooth user experiencesParticipate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistencyYou can bring to the role:Experience in hooks based React (v18); (Essential)Experience of coding in Javacript/TypeScript, HTML5,CSS3; (Essential)Experience with integration and E2E testing using tools such as Playwright; (Essential)Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration; (Essential)Understanding of front-end build tools such as Vite, NPM; (Essential)Understanding of CI/CD pipelines using software such as GitLab; (Essential)Familiaritywith React packages used by BAE Systems, such as React-Query, React-Router, React-Hook-Form, Zod; (Preferred)Knowledgeof modern authorization mechanisms such as JSON Web Tokens and PKI; (Preferred)Comfortable developing on both Linux and Windows; (Preferred)Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker, Docker compose; (Preferred)Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Confluence) for development, documentation, and Agile delivery; (Preferred)Knowledge of the wider Tech Stack used by BAE Systems, such as .Net, MSSQL, Keycloak, Elasticsearch, NiFi; (Preferred)Life at BAE Systems Digital IntelligenceWe are embracing Hybrid Working.
