Job overview
This post offers sub-specialty experience in Interstitial Lung Disease, suitable for a Respiratory trainee during specialist training or as post-CCT experience. Based at the Oxford Centre for Respiratory Medicine within Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the Oxford ILD Service is a regional specialist and anti-fibrotic prescribing centre. The post involves playing a key role in patient care and diagnosis of ILD, supported by the ILD MDT, and supporting clinical administrative responsibilities. Opportunities include participating in departmental education, teaching, and research projects related to ILD.
Main duties of the job
The principal duties are based in Respiratory Medicine outpatient clinics at the Churchill Hospital, with contributions to the respiratory ward rota at the JR site and night care duties. The postholder will support the ILD service under supervision of ILD consultants, including Dr Rachel Hoyles, Prof Ling-Pei Ho, Dr Peter Saunders, and Dr Emily Fraser. The team is active in national ILD clinical and research groups, with a strong publication record and involvement in international/national ILD conferences.
Working for our organisation

Support services involve radiologists, pathologists, rheumatologists, research nurses, thoracic surgeons, community nurses, physiotherapists, pulmonary rehabilitation, and a biologics unit, providing comprehensive ILD care and support.
