Main duties of the job

About us
The acute children's ward at Torbay cares for children and young people 0-18 years on our 19 bedded ward which consists of 2 HDU beds, 11 cubicles and a separate 6 bedded young people's area. We also have a Short Stay Paediatric Assessment area (SSPAU).
There is lots of acute experience to be gained from working in our very friendly team. We provide in‑house training and external courses, which will help you to develop new skills and enhance those you already have and you will be fully supported.

Qualifications
* Level 3 Child protection training
Knowledge and Experience
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
* Ability to organise and prioritise own workload
* Evidence of good practice
* Evidence of recent continuing
* Previous experience of working in an acute environment
Specific Skills
* Able to work positively with the multidisciplinary team
* To have excellent communication skills with the child and family
* Good interpersonal skills
