About the role:
We are looking for a full-time Administrator to provide admin support to our BMA Scotland Office. You will also provide admin support to committees and our team of Member Service advisers.
Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, you will also work with the team to provide support for the office facilities to deliver an excellent level of service to customers using the office.
This is predominantly an office-based position, however the appointed candidate may work from home on occasion.
As an Administrator you will:
1. Provide full administrative support to the committee secretariat, including the preparation of papers for committees, maintenance of databases and updating the BMA website when required
2. Diary management and administrative support to the Member support team
3. Supporting the corporate services manager in ensuring a smooth running of the office, including managing meeting room bookings, room set up, being the first point of contact for visitors, and handling any requests
To be successful in this role you'll have:
4. Demonstrable experience in an administrative role
5. Experience of office and facilities management
6. Excellent organisational skills and proven ability to prioritise and manage own workload
7. Strong communication skills both written and verbal are required
8. The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
9. The ability to handle complex and confidential information
10. Accuracy and a good eye for detail
11. Excellent customer service skills
12. Experience of working with the full MS Office suite is required
13. Experience working with committees would be advantageous but not essential
14. Experience working in a Membership organisation would be advantageous but not essential
